Clairlea School Council - Meeting in Minutes Oct.18

Hello Clairlea Families!

This years Halloween Howl was another huge success!
Thank you to all the parent and student volunteers for making it all happen.

Here are a few notes from the latest Council meeting.
The full minutes can be seen here.

Clairlea Music!
Thanks to the generous contribution from Council the music program has been able to purchase 10 additional ukuleles, fix the tuba and help produce the upcoming Suessical musical.

Clairlea Reads Book Club is starting again with Because of Mr. Terupt, by Rob Buyea. Book Club is asking it's members for a $5 donation fee (optional) to help fund this and future book clubs and prizes. The goal this year is to have 2 Bookclubs.

Healthy, Happy Kids
Research is being done to support Mental Health for our students by providing a “Calm Down Corner” or “Chill Space” within the school for students to cool down, be active and relieve stress in a safe space when needed. Inclusive of all grades. We'd love to hear your input!

Facilities
A new stop sign and painted stop line are in effect on Edge Park Ave.
Fencing along Edge Park/school yard will remain up for the winter to protect turf.
