CHANGE: School Council meeting delayed until Jan 26

Due to availability issues, the school council will meet NEXT WEEK, Wednesday Jan 26, at 7pm in the staff room, instead of this Wednesday as originally scheduled.

CHANGE: School council meets on Wednesday January 26 (not 19th)

The School Council meets on Wednesday January 19 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the staff room. Babysitting will be provided in the gym.

As always, everyone in the Clairlea community is invited to attend the Council meeting, even if you are not a voting member. It's a great opportunity to hear from the principal and vice principal and one of the teachers, as well as fellow parents, about what is happening in and around Clairlea.

We'd like to put out a call for games and activities for the kids to use during these meetings. Gifts of new or gently used games would be really welcome and would be used to occupy the kids during evening events such as  Council meetings, information nights etc.

If you have anything like that to donate to Council, please bring them to the meeting or leave them for Ginnie at the office.

Ward Forum on Thursday Jan 13

There is a Ward 18 Forum on Thursday January 13 at Blantyre Public School with our new school board trustee, Elizabeth Moyer, who happens to be a former member of the Clairlea School Council (actually our former chair, if I am not mistaken). 

I've attended such meetings in the past and have found them very informative. I hope some of you will be able to attend. 

Also, our next school council meeting is Wednesday January 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the school. Childcare will be provided in the gym.
